The introduction of AI technologies in research and medicine are raising important ethical but also fundamental philosophical questions regarding freedom, autonomy, knowledge and what we should value in life. Medical humanities has a critical role to play in framing, analysing and offering answers to these questions. TORCH Medical Humanities will partner with the Oxford Network for Sustainable and Trustworthy AI in health and care (OxSTAI) to organise a series of events that will bring together different disciplines, audiences and communities to reflect upon issues that pertain to developing and deployment of medical AI.
