Ibn al-Ṭayyib was a polymathic physician, scholar, translator, theologian, and priest of the Nestorian church whose biblical commentaries exerted great influence in the Medieval Christian Arab world. Join us as we translate the introduction to his Commentary on the Psalms. The opportunity includes:
Practice reading a 12th century Christian Arabic manuscript and comparing it critically with a printed edition.
A chance to learn reading and translation skills from experts in medieval Christian Arabic texts
