Medical Humanities provides a much-needed hub for exploring how rapid advances in biotechnologies intersect with questions of human identity and flourishing that are of enduring concern to the humanities. By bringing the sciences into dialogue with disciplines like history, philosophy, literature, and theology, as well as diverse religious traditions, the project fosters conversations about the meaning, significance, and desirability of emerging biotechnologies such as germline genome editing, artificial intelligence, and brain-computer interfaces. Its aim is not only to deepen scholarly understanding but also to create accessible forums and public engagement materials to help individuals and communities grapple with the ethical and cultural dimensions of these advances.
