Medical Humanities is a brilliant opportunity to engage with communities about public health. Using tools from literature, history, bioethics, and the arts opens up science and medicine and allows people to connect with them in accessible, innovative, and creative ways. The TORCH Medical Humanities network has long-standing interest in public engagement, having worked with a range of stakeholders, including primary and secondary school students, local health charities, and advocacy organisations. TORCH also works closely with Oxford Medical School on developing humanities-based programs for medical students.
